Strategies to Support Students with Intellectual Disability

Students who are diagnosed with an Intellectual disability often need extra assistance within the classroom, so they are able to complete a curriculum that is meaningful for them.

Jane Wenlock, a teacher at Kolbe Catholic College, Victoria works closely with teacher aides to develop meaningful programmes for students. Jane explains the testing that is used to diagnose a student with an Intellectual disability, and shares strategies that will assist education professionals work effectively with students who have an Intellectual disability.
