Module 1 - How to Prepare for Student Learning, is the first of four modules in the Effective Teacher Aide Practices for Schools professional learning series. In this module you are introduced to three key principles that will enable you better communicate with your teachers about the learning support you provide to students. You will learn about the role of prior learning, and gain some useful strategies you can use to activate students' prior knowledge. You will also learn how to use learning intentions and success criteria to prepare for support with your teachers, and where they fit into the planning, teaching and assessment cycle.
