Recognise a teacher aide who is making a difference at your school

What do teacher aides, teaching assistants, learning support officers, education aides, and education support staff have in common?

At Australian Teacher Aide we believe it is the passion, skill and dedication to student learning and wellbeing that paraprofessional educators, across our nation, bring to their jobs throughout the year. This is why we are proud to sponsor the 2021 Australian Teacher Aide of the Year awards.

These awards are open to schools from all education sectors, and a unique opportunity to nationally recognise a teacher aide who is making a difference to the learning and well-being of students. This year, by popular request, we have added a new award for School Teams.

The awards, which are in their fourth year, have gone from strength to strength, and last year we received over 140 nominations from State, Catholic and Independent Schools across Australia. Taryn Riles from Boorowa Central School in NSW was named 2020 Australian Teacher Aide of the Year.  The State Finalists and Highly Commended nominees were also recognised for their outstanding contributions to education.
