Modifying Assessments for Students with Disability and Additional Needs

Students with a disability, learning difficulty or other additional needs such as English as an Additional Language or Dialect may need modifications to assessments, so they can participate in their education on the same basis as their peers.

In this webinar, Jane Wenlock, a Learning Support Coordinator at Kolbe Catholic College, a secondary school in outer Melbourne, returns to share practical strategies, suggestions and ideas on how teacher aides can assist in the modification of student assessments. You will learn about two levels of adjustments and how to:

  • Adjust the work that all students are doing so a student can access the work
  • Make extensive adjustment so that the student is completing an intensive and individualised programme.
