DIRECTORS' MESSAGE

Welcome to the December edition of TA Talk.

This is our last newsletter for 2024, and what a tremendous year it has been! We trust you won't mind as we indulge in listing just a few of the many highlights at Australian Teacher Aide ...

The publication of the Australian Teaching Assistant Professional Standards (ATAPS)

One of our most significant achievements has been the publication of the Australian Teaching Assistant Professional Standards (ATAPS), an evidence-based framework that supports the performance and professional growth of teaching assistants in all Australian schools. ATAPS offers

a long awaited set of national benchmarks that will undoubtedly set the standard for excellence in education support practice going forward. We hope you are as excited about this as we are!!

The 10 fabulous new resource additions to our Professional Development library

We wish to acknowledge our 2024 webinar presenters who generously shared their expertise at our monthly live web events throughout the year, and contributed to our growing range of contemporary evidence-based resources to assist support staff build their capability.

Another successful awards programme

This year we hosted the 7th Australian Teacher Aide of the Year Awards programme. Each year as we read the nominations, we are inspired by the capability of this workforce, and the extraordinary contributions being made by TAs to support student learning and wellbeing.

The opportunity to help those less fortunate

Every year Australian Teacher Aide membership continues to grow, giving us the opportunity to participate as a 'business for good'. To date we have made 3,302 donations through our Giving Program. Thank you to all our members; we're pretty proud of this collective effort!

Our team!

This year, Australian Teacher Aide has grown from a team of 5 to a team of 8! In February, we welcomed Teacher and ATAPS Facilitator, Kim Nuske, then in May we welcomed Marie Maroun who supports our Customer Service team, and Amy Davies, our Marketing Officer. Kim, Marie and Amy have assimilated in to the ATA team seamlessly, and we are delighted to see them thrive in their respective roles.

Ongoing recognition in education

We are honoured to have been recognised in The Educator Awards, for the 3rd year running for excellence as a professional development service provider. We proudly share this accolade with our fabulous team who bring their A-game every single day, living and breathing our company values and mission, 'to empower educators to help students succeed'.

As this brilliant year comes to a close, we are also a little in need of some rest and relaxation. Our team will be taking a well-deserved break from 23rd December to 10th January.

@{aspediacrm-person-firstname}, our best wishes to you for a Merry Christmas, and a fabulous holiday break. See you in the New Year!

Warm regards

Stella and Mandy
