Welcome to the January edition of TA Talk.

DIRECTORS' MESSAGE

Image

Welcome back to the new school year.

As we begin 2020, we would like to acknowledge the many people affected by the bush fires, and thank the firefighters, volunteers, community organisations and many individuals who are still working tirelessly to save and rebuild communities.

The tragic impact of recent events will be felt keenly in schools, and the ATA team wanted to find a meaningful way to support the students and staff from around Australia who have been affected by bushfires.

In the Australian spirit of generosity, Alexina Baldini, a psychologist who specialises in providing crisis response training and support after critical incidents, is presenting three live webinars on how to support children and young people exposed to trauma, or crises. ATA is charging a nominal amount to attend these webinars, and all profits will go to bushfire disaster relief. Please show your support by registering for these events.

We wish you a safe and productive year ahead.

Warm regards

The ATA Team

eTAPS Module 4: How to Give Feedback to Teachers

We are thrilled to announce that eTAPS Module 4: How to Give Feedback to Teachers is now in our professional development library.

This is the last module in the eTAPS professional learning series which focuses on high impact support strategies to improve outcomes for students.

A new feature, which will reduce our carbon footprint, is the new editable PDF format of the workbook, professional development record and certificate of completion. We will update the documents in the eTAPS series first, followed by all past and future support materials.

We will soon be publishing a new Facilitators Guide, designed to provide school leaders and teachers with practical information and resources to facilitate delivery of eTAPS workshops.
