TA TALK

Issue 41

March 2019

Welcome to the March edition of TA Talk.

DIRECTORS' MESSAGE

Image

We have so much exciting news to share with you this month.

On a personal note, we were thrilled to hear of the safe arrival of baby Amelia, the new daughter of our team member, Brian. Congratulations!

On the work front, we want to tell you about two major developments that will have a significant impact on schools.

Firstly, 72 educators from across Australia participated in a webinar to help shape the future of teacher aide training. We polled participants to gather data on the skills and knowledge teacher aides need to perform their job. The polls, along with our online survey, resulted in close to 400 responses. Thank you to all participants. We are grateful for your feedback which we will forward to Skills IQ.

Friday 15th March was National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence. On this day, in collaboration with Karen Clarke, author of From Bullied to Brilliant, we announced an innovative approach to managing bullying in schools. This program will give educators practical tools and strategies that focus on the solution, not the problem. We hope you have had a fabulous Term I and wish you a safe and relaxing holiday.

Warm regards

Stella and Mandy
