Webinar

The recording of this webinar is available in the Professional Development library, under Learning and Wellbeing.

Alexina Baldini, a psychologist with Enable Workplace Consulting, has over 40 years’ experience working with children, young people and their families and carers. She specialises in providing crisis response training for organisations and individuals. Alexina also provides support after critical incidents, and is accredited with the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF). Alexina believes that the role of teachers and school support staff is crucial for children exposed to trauma, or who have experienced crises related to natural or human-influenced disasters.

Providing Early Intervention for Traumatised Children in the Middle Years is the second webinar in Alexina’s 3-part series on trauma.

In this webinar, you will learn:

  • The developmental processes a traumatised child needs to negotiate
  • How to support the transition between primary and secondary school
  • Support strategies for young adolescents experiencing trauma

Participants will have an opportunity to further their understanding of children and adolescents from a trauma background, and be supported in their crucial work to provide psychological support and alleviate distress.

Suited for school leaders, teachers, teacher aides and specialist support staff.
